Brothers,
Conclave has come and gone! Now that everyone has had a week or so to recuperate from the great weekend at Boxwell Scout Reservation, it is time to start our work again.
Throughout the past year there have been many people spend countless hours planning and implementing our Conclave, many people from our great Host Lodge Wa-Hi-Nasa. It is always a tough and rough job preparing a camp for a Conclave, then going through with it, which is always the best part. So, Wa-Hi-Nasa, I thank you for all that you have done and I know our Section does too.
But why would a lodge put in so much work for this thing we call Conclave, which is one weekend a year? Because it is one of the main objectives of our Order, Brotherhood of Cheerful Service. In order for us to have Brotherhood we must have different friendship building and team building exercises, and Conclave is one of many.
We came together as Brothers to have a good time, build friendships, and compete to grow that bond..and we did it. My brothers if you did not come to Conclave this year I encourage you to come next year to experience everything our great order has to offer. In 2011 our Conclave will be hosted by Talligewi Lodge outside of Louisville, KY at Camp Crooked Creek. This promises to be a great Conclave for everyone.
Conclave is a great experience for everyone and I hope to see all of you soon!
Yours in Service,
Mitchell Saulsbury
SR-6 Chief
